Hi, my name is Satvir. I am a Registered Nurse Educator by profession and a Henna Artist by passion. I am a firm believer that our mind is the master of our being and a key to the spiritual world. On a day-to-day basis, I am blessed to meet people from all walks of life that inspire me to look deeper within myself and force me to explore my thoughts and emotions. This is what led me to Henna.
Henna, to me, is a very spiritual and uplifting process that binds creativity to the soul. I have been doodling and drawing ever since I can remember and what started as a method of creative release has now evolved into a passion for me. I get my inspiration from all facets of life and incorporate special moments to create a sense of personality in my work.
Henna is traditionally seen as a method to provide a sense of calmness and peacefulness for a bride-to-be, and I fully believe this to be true. I do, however, have one problem with this notion. Why restrict Henna only to those that are a nervous wreck from their upcoming wedding? Why not make it a fun and spiritual process for everyone, regardless of their level of anxiety? It is a beautiful form of art that now goes above and beyond a traditional wedding ceremony.
In order to take this passion of mine a step further, I decided to attend the Ash Kumar Academy and become an Ash Kumar Certified Henna Artist. While I am on this Henna journey, I hope to learn and grow as a person as I meet some extraordinary people along the way.
"Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."
